Week Three: Ways to Incorporate Mindfulness in Your Everyday
During stressful, busy days it can be hard to find compassion for those around us. These unsympathetic and hardhearted feelings can take a real toll on the way we feel ourselves, let alone how they may make others feel.
One way we can stay mindful at multiple moments throughout the day is by practicing ‘The Happiness Wish’. In those moments where you find yourself feeling on edge, think to yourself “I want this person to be happy.” This mindset will help you to view others in an aura of happiness. If you are able to wish happiness onto others throughout the day, this will give you the same elevating feeling. This is known as compassion meditation. Don’t forget to wish happiness on yourself as well as others.
