5 Easy DIY Eye Masks

Baggy, puffy, strained, tired eyes and dark circles are extremely common among many of us, especially owing to the lengthy hours we spend constantly looking at our electronics, working from home and  getting insufficient sleep. It is no surprise that our average screen time has increased drastically. Thus, for today’s Self-Care Sunday, we have put together some of our favourite, easy DIY eye masks that will surely help your eyes to cool and reduce those nasty dark circles. These masks are soothing, hydrating, remove signs of tiredness and act as an instant refresher!

1. Cucumber & Rose Mask (for hydration)

  • Mix together 1 teaspoon of minced cucumber with 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • Soak 2 cotton pads into this mixture
  • Leave it on your eyes for about 10-15 mins
  • Gently rinse with water/damp cloth

2. Coffee Mask (for puffiness)

  • Mix 1 teaspoon ground coffee with ½ or 1 teaspoon honey
  • Apply it using your finger/brush on your undereyes
  • Leave it on your eyes for about 10-15 mins
  • Gently rinse with water

3. Almond Oil & Parsley Mask (for moisturization)

  • Mix 1 teaspoon almond oil with 1 teaspoon parsley
  • Leave it on your eyes for about 10-15 mins
  • Gently rinse with water

4. Potato Mask (for dark circles & anti-aging)

  • Shred and blend half a small potato into a paste
  • Apply it under your eyes and leave for 10-15 mins
  • Gently rinse with water

5. Tea Bags Eye Mask (for dark circles)

  • Use green teas/black teas/herbal teas
  • Place 2 used tea bags into the fridge for 5-10 minutes
  • Gently dab and leave the teabags on your undereyes for 10-15 mins
  • Gently rinse with water/damp cloth
