Self Care Sunday with the Everyday Phenomenal Team

As women who run a brand that prides itself on being minful and looking after yourself we felt it would be a great idea to share the Everyday Phenomenal teams favourite self care techniques, products and hacks!

Ayesha (CEO and founder of Everyday Phenomenal) - I'm not someone that tends to be able to put much time aside for self-care, especially whilst launching a business and being a hands on mum. However, when I manage to steal a rare moment I love to make eye masks with ground coffee and honey which instantly brightens the eyes, mix up my own face masks with lemon and honey. Nothing beats a hot, relaxing warm bath and using my favourite exfoliating sea salt scrub by Cowshed.

Carys (PR Intern) - I always set time aside at least once a week to put some candles on, a facemask (my favourite is the Rare Earth Deep Pore Masque by Kiehls)and read my magazines in a nice, hot bath. I always feel really relaxed and refreshed after doing this, it almost feels like my little warm, safe haven away from the stresses and responsibilities of the modern world. I think it’s really important to take some time just to stop thinking about life and read or do something trivial that doesn’t take up much brain power!

Megan (Social Media Manager) -

At the end of the day I like to do my self care skincare routine. I use the Clinique Take the day off balm, La Roche Posay face wash, Ole Henriksen Glow spot toner, then the glow recipe Niacinimide serum, the Ordinary Seed Oil and finish it off with the Glow recipe sleep mask.

On Fridays after a long week I love listening to 5 minute meditations on the headspace app to give me a moment of calm to revamp myself for the weekend.

As a social media manager I do like to take some time on the weekend mostly a Sunday to stay away from technology and my phone for a few hours and do something to give my eyes a break. I love going for a walk or just out in the allotment area in my garden.

Victoria (PR Intern) -

My favourite thing to do when as soon as I wake up is have a glass of water and take care of my skin. I use a cleanser from Paula’s Choice that I wash off with cold water to de-puff my eyes and face and then a simple routine to keep me moisturised throughout the day.

I also prefer to work-out in the morning and follow that with a cold shower to wake me up and get my day started.

In the evening, I follow a similar skin care routine to the morning and add retinol, then I like to read and put my phone down 30 minutes before switching off the lights to give my brain and eyes a good rest from it, and play ‘headspace’ to send me into relaxing sleep.

Kirstie (PR Intern) -

I like tidying my room, watering my plants, going for a walk/run, putting on a face mask - my favourite one is the salicylic acid 2% masque from The Ordinary.

I also love a homemade coconut oil hair mask and using the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Body Scrub.
