1. Coffee and Coconut Oil Scrub
This invigorating scrub is perfect for exfoliating and moisturizing your skin. Coffee grounds help remove dead skin cells and improve circulation, while coconut oil hydrates and nourishes.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup coffee grounds (used or fresh)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or sea salt (optional for extra exfoliation)
Instructions:
- Mix the coffee grounds and brown sugar or salt (if using) in a bowl.
- Add the melted coconut oil and stir until well combined.
- In the shower, apply the scrub to damp skin, massaging in circular motions.
- Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, and feet.
- Rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Benefits: The caffeine in coffee helps to tighten the skin, reduce cellulite, and the coconut oil provides deep hydration.
2. Oatmeal and Honey Scrub
This gentle scrub is ideal for sensitive skin. Oatmeal soothes irritation, while honey acts as a natural moisturiser and antibacterial agent.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1-2 tablespoons warm water or milk (to adjust consistency)
Instructions:
- Grind the oats in a blender or food processor until you have a fine powder.
- Mix the ground oats with honey in a bowl.
- Add a little warm water or milk to achieve a spreadable consistency.
- Apply the scrub to your face or body, gently massaging in circular motions.
- Leave on for 5-10 minutes for extra nourishment.
- Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.
Benefits: Oatmeal is calming and helps to reduce redness, while honey locks in moisture and leaves your skin soft and smooth.
